No Coracao dos Deuses - featuring Sepultura

Here's a recommendation for you old school Sepultura fans...well, to be honest, it's not Sepultura but it's a bunch of Brazilian musicians including Igor Cavalera and Andreas Kisser. The music is for a Brazilian movie of the same name, and if Sepultura were ever going to write music...

    P.M.R.C.

Agreed - but I have to disagree with The World Needs a Hero being a viable Megadeth opus - I thought it was the final nail in their coffin, which, in hindsight, it pretty much was. Recycling Hangar 18, and putting Dread and the Fugitive Mind on that AGAIN (after Capitol Punishment) were low...

    Best Concert You've Seen (Before1995)?

Hello Mark ;) Correct me if I'm wrong, but that tour might have been 1998. I remember for two reasons: (1) I was in NY in 88 when GnR were touring with Aerosmith and somehow ended up seeing Public Enemy instead  and (2) GnR played Donnington in '88 when Maiden were headlining with their...

    Angra

heh - good memory about my Hammerfall experience. To be fair, I guess I need to give some of their older stuff a try, but without doubt, "Renegade" could be one of the worst CD's I haves ever bought. I don't mind cheesy songs - as you know I LOVE Rhapsody. But I have to admit, the whole "We...

    Most underrated albums?

Haven't heard any Moonsorrow yet...aren't they like Finntroll? And re: Mithotyn - does anyone like Falconer? I mean, I like they're first CD (haven't heard #2), but I just don't hear anything as inventive as Mithotyn in this new direction IMO.

    Heavenly-Underrated

You do realize that ProgPower is a charity gig right? I mean, the only reason I bought a ticket was so the profits could go to bands that deserve exposure because they needed food or something. I dunno...

    Angra

 I saw some guy the other day with a Twisted Sister tattoo - it was old and faded, like he'd had it done in prison with a rusty needle. The danger of getting band name tattoos done is that they make no sense when you're old and decrepid. I mean, what are you supposed to tell your kids...

    Demons & Wizards???

Perfect Element sends me to sleep within seconds, it's just abysmal IMO (and I can't be bothered to back that statement up)....and I love Prog Metal if it falls within the calibre of Symphony X, Evergrey, The Tiles, and Threshold (maybe a few others). True - I will prefer the power metal bands...

Because I was bored and had time on my hands

I'm happy with Rhapsody being at the top of the list. Elvenking being second would have been cool too!

Heavenly rule - Sign of the Winner is great (and fantastic production). As for being a Helloween clone, it depends on what era you're talking about. Anything past KOTSK2 doesn't sound like Heavenly. In all honesty, they sound most similar to Gamma Ray circa Powerplant.

Special Guests - Who would you like to see?

Andre Matos...just so he can see how much Angra have improved since Holy Land

    Demons & Wizards???

...and then we can all leave happy before Pain of Boredom take the stage...
