October Thorns Demo to Get Remix, Mastered and Released

Happy to announce we are in the final stages of pre-production to remix our original demo from way back. We had a couple good years in NYC opening for Opeth, Moonspell, In Flames, Nevermore and SyX as well as hitting Powermad and the Koshic Metalsfests. Bassist David Z went on to TSO, ZO2, Joan...

    Corsette Night

Sad to say, I've missed this every time I've been down there but this year will make it a point to see it in all it's laced glory. I'm curious about the history, who started it, where is it usually held and what are some favorite pics or memories? It seems like a completely unique experience-...

"Come on buddy." - Archer Seriously, this is one of the best things I've heard in a long while. I'm not self-promoting. It's the drummer from one of the bands I play with. I don't even like him. ;p Check it out, it's free. It's really, really good. and it's FREE.

    Triosphere - The Heart's Dominion

Toured with them several years ago, had no idea it was female fronted, especially just hearing that voice outside the venue. My jaw dropped when I finally got around to going inside. Just incredible. Great people too.

I'll check that out too. The vocals are actually really hitting me with this stuff. I like that it's somewhat light and pulled back in most parts, makes it seem more vulnerable and honest. I think a more "seasoned" sound or polish or whatever you might call it would take away the emotional...

Any thoughts on this? I've been listening non-stop for weeks. Really, really love it.

    Melodic Rock Fest 4

Had a great time at this fest playing with AdrianGale. I honestly wasn't that familiar with any of the bands here but Work of Art, H.E.A.T. and so many of them really surprised me. Amazing amount of talent and very cool to hang out with. Definitely worth a $20 roll of the dice!!

    Amon Amarth/Sabaton/Vallenfyre in NYC anyone?

If I ever have to see Sabaton again I'm going to shoot myself.

Thank you to the crew & other thoughts....

That would be me. I was tweaking the sound system EQ and filtering out some unwanted frequencies. Devin's music is ridiculously dense and I am really familiar with it so I plugged it in for a couple tracks to do some last minute adjustments. And NO, that's not why they went on late. :p

This is the drummer from Adriangale, his project is called Vestacension and it's pretty amazing. I here Anathema, Sigur Ros and Radiohead among many other influences. Gloriously atmospheric and emotional. They were just featured on Metal Injection. https://www.facebook.com/vestascension...

These are all good suggestions. Nothing fancy, just special Chicago type food.

Vocalist RONNY MUNROE Quits METAL CHURCH; Band Vows To Continue

I got to tour with these guys several years ago, great musicians and all around great to hang out with too. When I first met Ronny we immediately hit it off and started talking about Rush. He said he had been a drummer and used to love to play XYZ. Yep, XYZ. I said, "Oh, yeah? I bet you played...

Does anyone have any food recommendations? This is my first MRF and I love to sample good local favorites when I travel. Pizza is obvious but anything else specifically Chicago cuisine within walking distance?
