    Dokken guitar set-up

Awesome, thanks! So the leads on BFTA are just the Purple Plexi, a Tube Screamer on occasion, and the sustainer?

    Dokken guitar set-up

Hey Neil, I've heard the the leads on BFTA was one of these: ...plugged into the sustainer and then straight into the board. Any truth to that?

    Question about Celestion Speaker's

I know who you are Dave...and I'll probably see you tomorrow at the Division gig...:kickass: Landon will be there too, maybe Tony. I'm not sure if there's a visual difference between the standard V30 and the Black Shadow V30's or not. Celestion told me that all the Black shadows, including the...

    Question about Celestion Speaker's

Here's the scoop...the Celestion Vintage 30 and the Marshall Celestion Vintage are the exact same speaker. The only difference is the label that Marshall slaps on them. Marshall does not have any type of proprietary Vintage 30 design. They also have the exact same power handling capability...

    should we talk about this...

That's what I was thinking. To be "high gain" like they claim, I'd almost imagine that would have to be a solid state preamp with a tube driver and a tube power amp.

    V30'S vs G12T-75's

The Marshall 1960 AV/BV Cabs have Celestion V30's in them. Marshall doesn't have any proprietary Celestion designs. It's basically the same speaker with a different label slapped on them. The power rating difference is probably just due to different measurement guidelines. You can measure by...

    V30'S vs G12T-75's

It probably seemed louder to you because the V30's have some thicker mids and were likely helping you cut through the mix better, so you "seemed" louder. The 75's have some tight bass and handle a lot of power, but they also have a little less mid focus. I really enjoy the G12T-75's. I like the...

C-7 Hellraiser now in Black Cherry

Completely agree...I wish they had one in that finish with some more "normal" binding on it. That would be ideal for me.

C-7 Hellraiser now in Black Cherry

My bandmate owns 2 of the ESP EC-1000's that have binding that's very similar to that. If it's anywhere close to the binding on those, then it's too flashy for me...:) I just prefer binding that's a little less noticable and drab. Nice guitars (EC-1000's), I just hate the binding.

C-7 Hellraiser now in Black Cherry

I don't like the binding on those guitars or some of those ESP's. It's too bold and flashy for my liking. Makes me think of something they'd put on a kids toy, or maybe one of CC Deville's guitars...:p I prefer a little more traditional binding, like what you see on most Les Pauls.

    V30'S vs G12T-75's

I bought a Dual Recto new back in '98 or so, and when I did, I bought a Marshall 1960A 4X12 Cab with it. Although I use Recto Cabs and V30's these days, I had no complaints about my sound back then. Always sounded great.

Hacker gains access to Mac OS X in 30 mins

:kickass: I've used both PC and Macs. I really don't have a preference. It's like cars to me...as long as they get me from Point A to B and back, it's all the same to me.

Oh, I'm sure it was patched and all. You were just speaking in absolutes earlier in regards to worms, so I just wanted to point that one out.

    V30'S vs G12T-75's

You could be right...now looking back through the notes, I don't think Flemming has actually mentioned what cabs they used on Justice yet.
