Some time ago, me and stilllifer decided to cover this song but now we have the pleasure of showing the song with real drums and real bass. We have to thank a lot to Digitaloutput for recording the drums and the bass, he deserves a real big thank you from us.:kickass: Also another a big thank you to the great Felix Neumann for putting his voice in this cover:headbang: You rock dude.

About the drums, only the kick is 100% replaced, the snare have a blend of more or less 20%.

No more talk, here it is the song:

Nice! Really well done! I got tickets to Maiden in Chicago in July. Can't wait.

You cant go wrong with them. I already saw them 3 times and all the times they were fucking great. Probably the best live band ever.:headbang:

So-fucking-noice.
hellyeah.

Thanks a lot dude:kickass:

Nuno, your mix is absolutely brilliant! About my vocals, enough was been said in the other thread. Kudos for the mix! :)

:worship: But I have to say that if this is so good it´s because of your fucking great vocals:headbang: Mix with a awesome singer it´s more easy:heh:

:kickass:

thats fucking sick

Means a lot coming from you dude. Because your mixes are always fucking great. So great that I have a song mixed by you called Mercy Street - WAR5 as reference for my mixes:headbang:

eeehh, it's cool! Great sound, I like it!

Thanks a lot dude:headbang:

I"m begging you...multitracks!!!!!1:headbang:

Dont take me wrong but I have to talk to the other people involved in this, if they agree with that.:)

I love the drums! It sounds so natural. Nuno, do you know, who played it?

Yeah dude, I tried to maintain the feel of the real drums at maximum.
As far as I know, Digitaloutput had a Iron Maiden cover band in the past and I think that the drummer and the bassist were from that cover band. But I am not sure of that. But the truth is that the drummer and the bassist did a really great job. I would like to mention their names but I dont know:erk:
We will wait for a post from Digitaloutput.

Nuno, we need the names of this guys..(maybe you can ask Digital about em) They deserve much praise and appreciation for their job and of course it´d be interesting to hear what they think about the final version :)

Edit: One thing about the bass. I love the percussive sound of it, but the tones, the presence could have a bit more body :) Imo the bass could be louder.

Definitely... Maybe the guitars could lose some weight instead of raising the bass :)
As for the guitars themselves I'm not too keen on the playing, timing's a bit off at places and it's a bit stiff overally...
And I've noticed there's no backup vocals, why? Some harmony guitars lack as well...

And hey, don't burn me at stake for pointing out some issues I've noticed! :D
The cover is nice actually, but I think there's room for improvement, that's all... :headbang:

I am gonna speak for what I hear with my monitors. The bass is not very loud, it´s true but I think it´s loud enough in this mix, I hear it quite well. About the presence I agree, the bass doesnt stick out too much as I wanted but when comes to mixing the bass I still dont have enough experience:erk: But about the body I dont agree because the sound of the bass it´s even a bit bassy. But as I said before, what I am saying it´s conditioned by what I hear in my monitors. So I may be wrong.

THE BEST cover I've ever heard of 2 Minutes to Midnight, ever:headbang:

In the chorus section there is a cymbal that is given out of time but it´s not the guitars fault. I dont know if it´s this that you are talking about. If dont, could you point the sections that the guitars are off? cause I dont know where they are off but I really want to know because I am very critical about it and dont worry dude, every feedback is always welcome. I want to learn from my mistakes.:)

wow, never thought i'd ever hear a cover of this that was BETTER than the original. I'd love to hear Maiden re-record some of those classics with better production now.
