2 Minutes To Midnight, now with real drums and bass.

I am gonna speak for what I hear with my monitors. The bass is not very loud, it´s true but I think it´s loud enough in this mix, I hear it quite well. About the presence I agree, the bass doesnt stick out too much as I wanted but when comes to mixing the bass I still dont have enough experience:erk: But about the body I dont agree because the sound of the bass it´s even a bit bassy. But as I said before, what I am saying it´s conditioned by what I hear in my monitors. So I may be wrong.

Under the line the mix is absolutely great. I´m just counting peas with the bass sound, a bit more presence and the mix would be perfect imo. I feel very, very good how you bed my vocals in, Nuno :headbang:

wow, never thought i'd ever hear a cover of this that was BETTER than the original. I'd love to hear Maiden re-record some of those classics with better production now.

:worship: Thanks a lot, What you are saying means a lot to us as Iron Maiden fans.:headbang:

Awesome, especially the bass is super awesome

Thanks so fucking much:headbang:

I am already doing some adjustments to the song and I will bring up the bass a little more. When the singer it´s good, it´s not so hard to sit the vocals in the mix:headbang:

I already updated the first post with the names of the people involved in this cover.:kickass:

That's one hell of a vocalist :zombie: The guitars sound awesome. I love how 'tubby' the bass sounds. Killer cover. :headbang::heh:

Edit: Mind sharing any info regarding how the guitars were done? Thanks :)

Yes, a really fantastic effort. Would also be interested to hear more about the guitar, amps etc sounds. I also think the vocals are very impressive, expressive and Iron Maiden-ish!

Thanks man :kickass:

If you like the vocals, I´m working on an epic concept album called "The Gunslinger´s Ka" with lots of lead guitar contributions played by many talented Sneapsters and some prominent guys like Wolfgang Zenk (former Sieges Even, 7for4) and Lasse Lammert.

It´s my debut and the myspace page will be finished within the next months. The name of the band is Machines & Madness.

Some time ago, me and stilllifer decided to cover this song but now we have the pleasure of showing the song with real drums and real bass. We have to thank a lot to Digitaloutput for recording the drums and the bass, he deserves a real big thank you from us.:kickass: Also another a big thank you to the great Felix Neumann for putting his voice in this cover:headbang: You rock dude.

About the drums, only the kick is 100% replaced, the snare have a blend of more or less 20%.

No more talk, here it is the song:

Welcome to the boat :heh:

Pretty cool,

Only concerns: the bass needs to be louder and the main riff with more vibrato

Thanks:) I know what you are saying but It´s a bit hard to have exactly the same expression as they have.

Great cover, guys! Felix, great vocals, dude! You would make Dickinson proud! :)
