I haven't been around much lately, I don't have so much time to myself anymore, that and the fact that my internet connection is so slow, it's frustrating to say the least. I do miss coming here though.
 
I suppose some grew bored of the discussions and the rest have to deal with everyday life: job, marriage, children, taxes, school and all the consequences of it.

On the other hand we have a lot of new regulars and we haven't give them a proper welcome, shame on us!

im still here though i know im not considered one of the "core"... just none of the discussions lately have interested me... here and in GMD which i visit as well... anyways anyone listen to the band Summoning? ... what is your take on them? ... for you metal fans out there that like power metal, symphonic metal or Conan the Barbarian type of background music .. you might like them.. i bought their album Oath Bound expecting a Black Metal album... but doesnt sound it to me.. anyways for those who listen or have listened to this band.. what are your thoughts? .. am i wrong? are they BM?

Well I guess the profile of the "core" had change since I joined back in 02. I do consider you a regular or at least one of the old gang irregulars :lol:

Many have dissapeared: Abryl, Psycho, TVF, Wick, Marine, Igor. Some came from time to time: Greeno (just posted above), JD, Trixxi, Pabla. Some like Fang came after a long hiatus, some take a hiatus like TSO. Some like Carnut, Sixx, Kitty, Hawk, Wheezer, Whisper, Kmadd, Zeppie, Bryant, Sava, Droogie, EWiz, SMaster, myself show more often. Some of the newer blood have become regulars or semi like Princess, No-mercy, Deathanimal, Nemesis and many more I don't recall now both old and new, regulars and irregulars.

In my eyes is not how much you post or show around, is not is you participate in all the threads or some is not about that, is about a feeling. To me a UMOSer is a special being who had made a click, a connection with the rest and keep that connection. Yes I sometimes feel some here that don't click and usually they don't stay much, some did click and didn't stood much either, some did stay and I'm glad the blood get renewed.

I never expected the same gang to last forever, I wish it would but that will be too unreal. I want to believe that is in everyone the desire to keep coming when life/time allows, I want to believe that no matter who post here the important thing is the spirit of UMOS, I want to know that if I ever left for a long time the pace will be here when I return, for in a sense this piece of cyberspace is home too.

I spent end of April thu almost the end of May dealing with an ill parent,
It's WAY easier to keep up with the e-mail lists than the boards, espeically on my dad's dial up connection. Work has been sort of busy, but while I may not jump into a lot of threads, I did lurk for a few weeks. The only conert I have on radar is the Zappa Plays Zappa show this Saturday (June 17) in Chicago. I'll never give up my liking of old school stuff NEVER!

I'm kind of hit and miss lately. I'll check the board from time to time, but haven't been posting to often. When I do it's usually a bunch at once. I'm still out here though!:headbang:
