I tried once more to get a decent sound from a reamping of a direct recorded guitar for the demo of my band. We tracked 4 guitars (2 per side), but on the extracts you only hear one track, I used two mics in front of the cab.
Chain was :
Peavey 5150 mk1, Maxon OD-808 tubscreamer, Bogner Uberkab (V30 miced only)
I used the rythm channel.
SM57 into Vintech pre into Apogee Rosetta.
MD421 into Great River pre into Apogee Rosetta.
