hmmm... so the deal is, i have to make a demo for college then re-record it all properly.

SO.....
DRUMS = DKFHS (i spend hours on the velocities then my comp crashed and i forgot to save it, so it all sounds like wank)
BASS = SANSAMP
GUITARS = 5150 II and marshall mg :(

http://boomp3.com/listen/cn70qz1

spent about an hour at home tracking all the guitar and bass so excuse the poor quality of both playing and sound, its not ment to sound amazing.....yet...

but for a cheap ass demo that took a few hours.... wat do u have to say?

cheers!

This actually sounds pretty damned good - your stuff has really improved! Great drum programming as far as the fills and whatnot go, very life-like.

DFHS sounds strangely raw yet still kinda good, particularly on the OH's/AMB mics. How much processing did you do? Gats also sound pretty good, esp for having an MG in there!

i'm really quite hung over, so i do apolagise for any mistakes or shit ways of phrasing.

cheers man, they did sound alot better before when i had all the velocities sorted, especially that hi hat lol

OH's were just high passed around 580 with about 3dp boost 12k+, tad of para comp

AMB = HP around 200, LP around 8k with a slight scoop in the mids to stop it sounding so paper like. a bit of parallel compression and quite high in the mix.

i used a load of parallel compression on the whole kit and quite a bit of tube saturation to make it stick out that little bit more.

i have a thing for big raw sounding kits. not to much eq, unless really needed, and lots of ambiance :D

Wow ! Hard to tell it's software programmed drums dude !

The whole thing sounds very good : song itself + production.

Congratulations.

cheers man :)
i was expecting everyone to be laughing at it, i've not really put much time or effort into this, and when its all re-recorded, i'm hoping it will sound wicked :D

i think i need to invest in a nice cab lol, although i was pretty surprised how this turned out. its the second time i tried recording with it. the first was for metal, and i gave up almost instantly, its sounded like wank:Puke:

finaly, i'v stopped mixing this thing,
my vocalist came into college and we spent 15 mins tracking vocals, so didnt re do any takes. ( so its not at its best at all, he also had a cold lol)

its a shame that i could only get to record the bass and guitars through my shitty tascam interface,( it sounds like wank compared to my motu8pre) soon i may record the whole thing for real with good mic pre's and a better cab with a peavey classic head

i gave up mixing it after about 2 hours as my teachers were already confused as to what i had done, and gave me a distinction lol and i think it sounds like shit haha

feedback welcomed

Originality. Groove. Heaviness. Tons and tons of potential for a ground breaking genre. . .

Killer for a demo. Can't wait to hear the finished product :)
