6506 Vs Powerball comparison clip!

so,i've made a comparison, same guitar same cab same mic same everything, different head.
i didnt try to make them sound similiar, the ENGL is darker and less cutting, but you can hear a in mix example, i think they both sound quite good.

(no guitar processing, only limiter)



they change samleslly in the clip, can you spot it?

You really make them sound almost identical, the difference is there but really small.

I actually didnt try to. I just cranked the mids on the powerball because I wanted it to cut more .

Its funny though because many people prefer the peavey and hate the pb but the different isnt thaaat big. I guess the cab and mic change much more

Yeah the powerball gets a bad rep around here but i never understood why. It's capable of some nice tones.

That's just internet "expertise". I've had two, probably will get a third one.

I'd guess the changes are at 0:09, 0:25 and 0:40.
