OK folks, here's a new round of worthwhile content. Been a bit slow recently with half the team preparing/gone/returning from Wacken, but the following makes up for lost time:

New Interview:

NUCLEAR RABBIT - Those madmen go through interrogation by the NAD'ster

New Reviews:

MORS PRINCIPIUM EST - Inhumanity
THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER - Unhallowed
CIRCLE II CIRCLE - Watching in Silence
KING'S X - Black Like Sunday
EXTOL - Synergy [Staff Pick of the Week]
ALCHEMIST - Austral Alien
HASTE - The Mercury Lift
THE DEVIN TOWNSEND BAND - Accelerated Evolution

:Spin:

from the devin townsend review: "The material on this would sound so good after having smoked a fat joint "

interesting note, devy is my official "stoned music" (although TERRIA messes with you a whole lot more, i tried driving home one rainy night while high and listening to it and had to turn it off! not to mention that i thought i had driven into the next county. . .)

That Mors Principium Est review reminded me that I still need to get the Omnium Gatherum CD. According to our OG review...

Anyone who’s been previously bored with melodic death metal, anyone who’s looking for the shining light in a sea of monotonous grey, anyone who desires to listen more closely and transcend what you knew before, take heed.

Yep, that be me.

Never in a million years would I guess that THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER hails from Detroit, Michigan, USA.

What are you trying to say here? :D

There are many good metal bands from Detroit, not that I consider Black Dahlia Murder one of them, because I don't, but there are good ones...

Well, I generally think of muscle cars and techno music when I think of Detroit, not a devout At The Gates following. :D

Hey, it is Detroit Rock City, after all! :D

Yeah well who would have believed that Def Leppard were from a small English mining town called Sheffield eh? I never even knew they were Brits until Hysteria came out, I swear!

And now a ball way off in left field..........Sorry hope you don't mind!

What a great review from Papa Josh on CIIC Watching in Silence. I couldn't agreed more even to the Queen comparision, which was the first thing I said when that song came on. I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that.

Thanks Great review, keep up the good work!

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I really like the album a lot. In fact, if any one wants, I have a cardboard sleeve promo of it, and it's one of those where the entire cd is one track. I now have the real deal, and it is one of my faves at the moment. Expect an interview with vocalist Zakk Stevens in the coming weeks.

"Not too keen on "Traveller," kinda boring and really just filler when stacked up to everything else on here."

I guess me and Dreamlord are the only ones who really like this song. heh

Hey just curious if anyone else has heard any Extol? I was quite shocked at how technical it was, and yet they could still maintain those cool, acoustic, clean vocalled moments. Good combo IMO.
