A long lost gem....(to me anyway)!

I suppose since we are kind of dancing around with classics now, is there any love for Bad Moon Rising? Kal Swan & Doug Aldrich... a killer duo IMO.

Yep, I love Bad Moon Rising. It's been awhile since I've listened to it though. I'll have to pull some out here this week. :kickass: Since you're an Aldrich fan, make sure you check out the Dio Holy Diver Live DVD, which features him on guitar. That is, if you don't already own it! :)

hah wow. i know these guys as they are now...i was just as the Reggie's how a few weeks ago, hes a family friend of our vocalist. cool stuff lol

Dude, you need to tell him to join us here!

ICON were a mid-80's AOR metal band from Phoenix (where I was raised before relocating to Southern California). Great twin harmony guitars, soaring melodies, and great raspy-ish vocals. They put out 2 discs - the self titled debut and Night Of The Crime - which are both fantastic. They switched singers for their next 2 discs - Right Between The Eyes and A More Perfect Union - and both of them are solid but not up to the standards of the first two. I think they are on the bill for Rocklahoma or one of those festivals this year. They also opened for Tesla a few months ago on the Phoenix stop only......

Amazon has them but the prices are ridiculous. I suggest finding them on Ebay because the prices are much more comparable. I know the first 2 were re-released on Rock Candy Records.

Bottom Line: Seek them out!!!

Bad Moon Rising is a great band. Then again I'm an Aldrich fanboy.

However I prefer LION.

I broke out my Beau Nasty, Babylon A.D., Roxx Gang, and Leatherwolf cds this past weekend, must be the great weather. I've found some great suggestions here in this thread but wondered if there are any other recommendations that I might have forgotten about.

Yeah, warm weather always makes me want to listen some good hard rock! :kickass:

Babylon A.D. has a new recorded version (2010) of Bang Go The Bells. Anyone hear the Persuader stuff? (Pre Babylon AD). Not too shabby.

I have to be honest, I think that both Babylon A.D and Keel are a bit overrated by hard rock fans. In my opinion, the new Keel falls flat on its face! I listened to the Babylon A.D. debut a few weeks back and it's just okay to me. I'd ten times rather hear Wildside or Heaven's Edge.

I thought the new Keel album was mediocre at best but love the self titled Babylon A.D. album. Kid Goes Wild, and Maryanne kick ass!

Little tidbit some of you may or may not know. The song "Desperate" on the Babylon A.D. album was also recorded and released by BATON ROUGE.

Baton Rouge, now there is a band I forgot about. I'll have to look that one up on ebay along with XYZ.

1) ROCK CANDY is planning to reissue HEAVEN'S EDGE in 2010 with bonus tracks.

2) I was chatting with Roy (of COLD SWEAT) who lives here in NC and we were discussing releasing the post-CS material. they did 8 songs after the debut under the moniker SWEATING BULLETS, but then broke up. apparently, there was big legal battle over the name back in the day. it sounded like a real mess, which is a shame because the 8 songs are AWESOME! maybe one day i can get it licensed and reissued for the fans.

Well going by this thread it gives me a lot of ideas of what to bring to the fest; Baton Rough, Tangier, Heaven's Edge, Keel, and all that kind of stuff we carry. It is as easy to find as clicking a banner.
