A Rock and Roll recommendation....

I bought the latest Jet release "Shine On" (a radio retro-rock) band. I must say the release is stellar and I haven't found a rock release I really dig in several years. It is some young guys playing late 60's sounding music, mixed with some early AC/DC style stuff. Normally, I would think it would sound a bit contrived but this sounds genuine. These guys are loving what they do. You can hear many of their songs streamed on their website......

They've gotten mention on this forum a few times. I just can't get into it. There's nothing refreshing about it, I don't think that they are truly inspired, and they don't seem to write the quality songs that I was hoping for.

I bought their 1st release blind. I was impressed, I like the 2nd one as well. There's an EP floating around that has some good tunes on it as well.

Rock is making a slow but sure comeback as long as we have bands like them, Buckcherry and others.

I don't have Jet's newest one but I do have their older one and I really enjoy it.

Check out a new band called, December Radio. They kick some ass too!

I thought their first couple of hits were ok, but just seemed forced.

THE CARBURETORS are a great rock band from Norway. Check them out. They have two terrific albums out. "Pain is Temporary...Glory is Forever" and "Loud Enough to Raise the Dead". This band fucking rules!
