They make one with an On/Off switch yes.

Does it really matter that much?

I'd say probably not, most dont as they isn't really a reason to have one. Though it could be dependent on the venue, I don't know how much they rely on what the venue has in stock or if they bring all their own gear.

Own the DVD? I'm sure there's many closeups of singing...
