advices to be just as good as alexi :)

Is this guy trolling or what? You can't play SNBN after 2 months, I'm sorry.

What you're talking about is a powerchord. You use your first finger, third and pinky.

..........he gotta be...or its a troll...I to practise alone...i sure know what a Powerchord is tho....

Look:
You said you play for 2 months.
You said you can play the SNBN, MoP and Lake Bodom Solo.
You said you use GuitarPro.

AND YOU SAY YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT POWERCHORDS ARE?! WTF?!

:D

yea i use guitar pro it show me a guitar model with some dots that become red when the guitarist touch it!!! and i follow :(
thank u warheart ill check this out :)

Warheart posted two links, just check them out.

You know, it seems pretty unbelievable that you can play those solos and don't know what powerchords are.. :)

yea thats it!!! thats what i wanted ! thanks warheart :) ok thanks to u all i found the answer in the links thanks!

yea thats it!!! thats what i wanted ! thanks warheart :) ok so can u tell me how to hold the strings that are in the same fret (fret right?? )? shud i hold both of it with one finger? or one finger for each one?

Please tell me you actually read the page?

yea i didnt understand anything but i found this : "Another common fingering for a power chord is to play the root note with the first finger, while the third finger barres the other two notes."mmm but i didnt understand what do G or F or AMinor Gmajor ...... mean!

Well also it shows you a diagram:

power_chord_2.jpg

The numbers are the finger numbers:

1=index
2=middle
3=ring
4=pinky

The vertical lines represent the strings of the guitar.

The horizontal lines represent the frets.

The X's mean you don't play those strings.

Well that would help but you could just use google and the guitarplayers thread. I'm sure you'll manage just fine, I'm self taught and I don't regret it at all.

:erk: The state of this forum...

Here's some common advice for all beginning guitar players:
- Practice, practice, practice. Yeah, and after that practice.
- Get a teacher/ lessons from qualified teacher or musician.
- Possibly attend some kind of music school (varies by country).
- Learn to read music. Not just guitar tabs, but notes too.
- Get some good instruction books, videos, cd's and study them.
- Try to practice playing with other people, form some kind of a band if possible.
- Listen to music. If you're going to play guitar, find out about some of the famous guitarists and get their records.

The most important of these being practice. You really have to work hard, if you ever want to be good. The same goes with everything in life, of course...

btw. Two months is nothing.

:) i practise everyday for about 2 hours!! ill continu like that and im trying to reproduce some songs on my guitar with reading their tabs
