OK I'll put it this way: the first 3 Aeternus albums are essentials which everyone agrees on, but really, if you put memory and nostalgia aside, "...and so the Night Became" is their best and most consistent effort.

If I remember correctly, I bought AStNB in a huge haul several years ago, a haul that included "Bergtatt", "HEart of the Ages" and a few more 9-10/10 albums and I think it got buried under all the other stuff. I've put it on a few times since then and it always seems to go in one ear and out the other. Maybe because on the first couple listens all the long songs seem to just drag.
