Airged L'amh - The SIlver Arm

Wow.

Two things:

1 - Are there any samples anywhere? I'll check Black Lotus Records...

2 - Who the F is 'Xerxes' and why are they mentioned in the same breath as Slough Feg???

Doomcifer check before bying. "Silver Arm" is epic power/speed metal, with influences from early Helloween, early Blind Guardian, and a tone of early Skyclad. It is not "THE EPIC METAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR" or smthing. It is GREAT, but i dont know if you are fond of their style. Buy their demo "a vertigo edda arised" if you find it somewhere.

I just saw that. If you mean that some say that they are similar to Slough Feg, ignore them. Xerxes played really melodic prog metal, and the similarity with Slough Feg probably goes for some "medieval" melodies/atmosphere their music has.

We get a new Slough Feg album ('Atavism') in 2005! CHEEEEEERS to that!

Atavism means the return to something after a period of absence, so (let's go out on a limb here)... back to D&D-metal for them! Should be awesome!

Well, he's right to a degree - Traveller went space age heavy, and moved away from the celtic medieval elements....so it all depends on what you prefer.

It's hard to predict the new one, it all depends on how much Scalzi wrote, as opposed to how much Scalzi AND Cobbet wrote. These guys are veterans of the game though, so maybe all that Slough Feg and HoM touring might have inspired them to write some cool shit.

@Demilich - I assume you've heard Hammers right?

:lol: He never misses a chance to sell someone on Hammers!

Traveller was kinda meh to me, I like the folk/celtic/whatever stuff much more.

I enjoy almost all of the slogh feg stuff. Traveller and ToTI are fucking marvelous. I have to give the others more time still. "Sky Chariots" rules from DAtD for sure.

Traveller is more Hammer-ish imo which is why I spooge over it.
