Akercocke - Words That Go Unspoken, Deeds That Go Undone

well sorry that I don't like his voice ... his normal singing I can listen too, but the song I heard from their new album, with grindcore-grunts or something really sucks! ... his normal singing wasn't that good on that song either, I'll listen to the entire album when I get the chance. the previous album was better ...
oh well: @Reveries: the only intellectual failure here must be you, when you judge someones intellectual capacities on how he likes someones voice or not ... I can't help it that he grunts like a couple of buttfucking wild boars ...

worst thing is that Ephel Duath, who are simultaneously released by Earache, are going under, although they have ever since been far more visionary than Ackercocke (what's themeaning of that, by-the-by?...)

No idea what it means actually, i'd like to know too!

Verdelet has a cool little vocal effect in it ..fucking rules lol. Best song is Seduced though imo.
I want to hear Ephel Duath actually - what are they like, and any links?

Ephel Duath are a totally insane band. They went from a proggy avant garde black metal band to a screamy proggy jazzcore band. And now they are apparently a avant garde jazz band with screamed vocals.....haha.....listen to me with my shitty catagorising, they cant really be catagorised.

Bottom Line is that they are an awesome band

Cheers for the links - was for Ephel Duath, am already a big Akercocke fan.
Choronzon is still a better album, but Words.. is still classy - no question about it.

Akercocke is better then most of the bands out there now. I barely listen to death-metal anymore since it's all mediocre and the same but Akercocke and Vader are exceptions.

The new Akercocke album is a fucking masterpiece. Easily the best album of the year, and the band's best so far. Genius.
Batmura, your review is spot on, but you need to learn when to stop a sentence.

I take it everyone's heard the great news that Akercocke are supporting Opeth for the London Forum gig 30th November. Also, Metal Hammer have referred to Akercocke as Britain's answer to Opeth.. i personally found that quite odd.

i also noticed the great news about the london gig, my two fave bands playing at the same gig...will be like the best day of my life.

i dont know how akerocke are britains opeth, meh. i did noticed the article in terrorizer where opeth were impressed at akercockes proggy sound on their new album so that might have contributed towards this gig decision.

terrible band quite unsurprising that opeth fans would like them

Nice sig. Says it all really.

Akercocke aren't a British Opeth, because Akercocke are still an extreme metal band, with TRUE death/black metal elements.
No matter how much you like Opeth, they are death metal lite.

Do you actually like Opeth or was that a sarcy comment?

I don't even call Opeth Death metal - just Progressive Metal .. No need for anymore than that really.
