Albums currently kicking your ass

I don't know why you'd want to see shit posted that 75% of the board hasn't heard...after all...it is...*shit*. Then again your entire defense of him in incomprehensible (possible bro-crush?), so don't bother trying to explain it.

This thread isn't a safety blanket so you can have your insecurities about your tastes reaffirmed. If you want that, refer to your last.fm play history list.

Killer stuff!

Black Sleep of Kali - Our Slow Decay

One of the best bands in the Denver scene, easily. The members are all really cool dudes as well. Ben Pitts, one of the guitarists is a House DJ on the weekends and makes pizzas at the Marquis Theater with the drummer from Adai.

Gotta love how they swing it out.

This is the dreamiest post rock album I've heard since Labradford, probably the dreamiest in the current wave.

I liked the Hammock album, definitely saved them but wish there was singing like in Les Discrets, got any more recommendations I could check out? Most of the YT channels I browse with similar music would be black metal fused with post rock, Id like to hear more stuff like the post-metal/rock of the first Les Discrets album. I doubt anything will top that album though.

Post-rock is almost always ruined by vocals - only notable exceptions I can think of are Lights Out Asia and Sigur Ros.

Most post rock is instrumental, in order to allow for longer songs and larger soundscapes. You're thinking of shoegaze, which is a type of noisy, spaced out pop music. There are a few good post rock bands that have vocals, though.

(Not post rock, but similar to what you're looking for)

This is my favorite Shoegazing Metal band:

This is also a good one from the U.S. that goes into shoegaze territory at times:

And you should be checking out all of Neige's projects: Old Silver Key, Amesoeurs, etc.

I prefer my post-rock to be instrumental, so I wont be of much help...

The only post-rock group with vocals that I can recommend at the moment is Marriages.

I've already listened to all of that, been listening to Cold Body Radiation alot recently, I played some of their stuff including Les Discrets and Alcest in the car while going to my dads parents house yesterday and he was blown away especially considering they are one man bands.

What would Les Discrets be considered then?
