I think “Revocate the Agitator” (THAT riff!) is my favourite track these days followed by “Dead but Dreaming”, but they are all vicious slabs of savage death metal. Thinking about it, “Satan Spawn, the Caco Daemon” is probably the weakest track here now for me, despite it being an early favourite. It’s just a bit too over the top, even by Deicide’s standards. Still good, though.
This is a great CD. They re-recorded a bunch of old tracks live to try and capture their live setting sound and ended up with one of the best sounding releases in their career. Will be sick if they can apply this to their upcoming new album and create something utterly bulldozing.
