Found this on cassette the other day at a thrift shop for like $2 and it's in fresh condition, even still kinda has that new product smell to it.

I think “Revocate the Agitator” (THAT riff!) is my favourite track these days followed by “Dead but Dreaming”, but they are all vicious slabs of savage death metal. Thinking about it, “Satan Spawn, the Caco Daemon” is probably the weakest track here now for me, despite it being an early favourite. It’s just a bit too over the top, even by Deicide’s standards. Still good, though.

Over the top in what way exactly?

One of my friends gave me that album on my 12th or 13th birthday. That same exact copy still gets some playtime. Badass album top to bottom. Let me know what you think

Falkenbach. It's been a long time, but I'm loving these viking chants. Definitely where the band Rivendell gets their/his influence from.

This band continues to impress. Loving the black metal influence on this one, interesting that it disappeared entirely from later releases. Probably my 2nd favorite after Locust Years.

What you're hearing are the traces leftover from when they were called Unholy Cadaver, the black metal elements were even more present there.

Isn't that the only album that Janice, or whatever her name is, was on? Plus Scalzi was still involved then. This and the next album are the only ones from them I enjoy.

Actually, just looked at my CD library. I have the first three. The Bastard, The August Engine and The Locust Years so Scalzi must be on all three of those because I stopped caring after that.

Yeah he was, and I'm not huge on the two albums that followed The Locust Years but you should definitely give Dead Revolution from 2016 a try. Fantastic record.

I get why SFU is pretty much maligned in the metal community but this album is fun. It drags all the knuckles. It's Obituary if Chris Barnes were on vocals.

You know Allen West was on that album, right? Explain how the riffs on that album aren't proper riffs with that in mind.

How does this not sound like it was ripped out of The End Complete or World Demise?
