It's my favorite after Blessed Are the Sick. Of the songs recorded both here and on Altars of Madness, I prefer these versions. It's also just awesome to hear earlier interpretations of such great songs, like "Azagthoth" later becoming "The Ancient Ones," which is my personal favorite.

Something tells me if that grosses you out you probably wouldn't like the music either. I personally like album art that basically defines the content to an outsider

Indeed.

The vocals on it are among the most growled and incomphrenensible that I've heard before, not to mention the coprophiliac, gory besiality-infulenced lyrics. It is let down a bit due to annoying-as-shit intros that last for about 30 seconds at the start of each song, however.

I find this album, and Tyr in general, very underwhelming. Everything about my tastes suggests that I should love them, but I find them either:
a) ostentatious to the point of not even being fun to listen to, or
b) slow, repetitive, and boring.
