Man it's been so long and for whatever reason I always reach for Better Than Raw so I judge all the 90s Deris albums around that one. Per LastFM it's been exactly 8 years and 4 days since I've heard Wake Up the Mountain but it's all coming back. Hope this album isn't top-heavy. Having relistened to the Keepers recently as well, I have to admit that the writing here isn't really any less elaborate or melodically-infused so far.

Dude have you checked out Tony Tears yet? He was a bassist for Abysmal Grief in the late 90's, released a bunch of cool progressive doom metal and his album from this year is pretty cool too:
