Deathwitch. Nasty old black/thrash from the 90s.

This is one of the many albums I've recently bought from Elegy records after paypal shut him down for carrying nsbm and he decided to close his shop. Tons of badass stuff for ~$4 each.

just checked that on youtube and holy shit was it good. Right up my alley. I'm trying to go to the elegy site but im getting a "secure connection failed" message.

Ashen Eidolon by Gallowbraid.

Great album! Are you familiar with Sig:Ar:Tyr and Ildra? They've all got a pretty similar thick, mid-paced sound that is reminiscent of one another IMO.

I don't listen to Deicide often, but when I do holy shit! A violent unrelenting assault on the senses and so many killer fucking riffs. A shame this band mysteriously fell off the face of the planet after their first two, they were going places.

I think the term you are looking for is "turned to shit and disappeared up their own arses". Their effort this year was probably the best effort in years but it was still far from their best effort. But honestly what great band doesn't have two reasonable albums and 10 shit albums in their repertoire?

Stench of Redemption was pretty good. They've always been a pretty ho-hum band and their first two albums do have some killer Hoffman riffs but are still overrated as fuck imo.
