My favourite saturation programs got a revamp. Just got all the authorization stuff sorted with Alex and I can't wait to use them!

To all those who are still living under a rock, get ONTO THIS, get Nebula 3 Pro and grab the best software saturation programs and EQs that presently exist.

Nebula 4k Drums

Waves 4k Drums

Vocal Shoot-out (Lead vocal):

Vocal Nebula 4k

Vocal Waves 4k

Vocal Millennia Origin (Hardware reference)

This is the SSL, but it's a truer model to the console with even less CPU usage than the original. It also appears to have models of 6 different channels so you can vary the instantiation of the programs for extra nuances.

I got a email about this today and got all bummed.

I just bought nebula 2 and AlexB Mbc console and also a gml eq from someone as well last week. Protools and Nebula dont get along well(thats why im bummed) but I really dig the console thing from my playing in reaper. Let me ask.... do you use the pan law thing on the master buss and could you explain it a bit on how that works?

I know what pan law is I guess im just curious if it changes your host daw pan law to -4 or -3 whatever they are in like Clc?

Getting this ASAP! I'm in love with the original CLC for baking my tracks with the in-line program and slapping the master-buss clean on my 2-buss!

sickkkkkkk

Haven't had the chance to DL this yet, but I'm looking forward to hearing it.

Hey Ermz, what Nebula EQs do you like?

I've been using it for a while. I found that it attenuates the high frequencies a bit so things sound a little less harsh but I usually put a DocFear EQ on the master bus and increase around 12K just to get things sounding more airy and so I don't have to use the non-nebula EQ's as much. The new CLC Pro upgrade is free if you have the old version of CLC and I downloaded it today but haven't tried it yet. It was 800MB though :guh:

I did comparisons of the original CLC programs vs ITB a while back. The CLC programs were clear winners, even though I had teething issues at the time with the software.

I look forward comparing the CLC to Slate's VCC to ITB. I can't get enough of these programs! They are virtually the only things you can put across all your tracks and are almost guaranteed to just make the entire mix sound better, without any tweaking whatsoever (though you should observe proper gain structure when tracking, as noted by Alex).

I got an email about this upgrade but haven't downloaded the new version. Here's the thing: I have Nebula 3 Commercail not Pro. I can't use Cuda (ATI cards) so I wasn't interested in spending the loot for Pro. Will the CLC Pro work for Neb3 Commercial? Probably more a question for Alex but thought I'd post it here.

I did a quick comparison between the Waves E-Channel EQ and the AlexB CLQ EQ.

They react quite differently on the drums, even with identical settings.

I probably should have tried to match them by ear because it seems either the Waves or AlexB don't correspond to the right scale. The Waves will sound more 'correct' here because the mix was actually done with it, but I guess it shows you what the AlexB is capable of all the same. Listen for how less abrasive the high-end is, even though the mid-bass on the snare is out of control.

I just recently got my Modern White Pro and Modern Black Pro Consoles. :D It hurt me to not be able to strap the Master Buss with a Nebula Console Buss on this guitar competition. :(
