Personally man, i;d never let anyone write on my guitar, especially a $1000 one... but hey man, who am i to complain? if it makes you happy then its all fucking good :D

Well actually I am getting the rear plate signed on the inside, sure is a lot easier to drag around at a concert! Kinda inspirational reminder of why to keep up the hard shreading and make some stuff to post here. Getting Englund/Danhage/Liimatainen/Laiho would be a pretty cool combo! Fuck I'd get Jamie Lee Curtis in there too if I could!

haha nice, if you like, but like needledwarheart said, I wouldn't let anyone mess my guitar, especially not my 2700€ USA kelly :p

and not to want to make you worried, but the cover of your guitar seems dirty, and you better clean that dirt of before you gonna coat it, but lets hope the signature wont get fucked when you wipe it clean hehe
anyway, good for you.
it started raining RIGHT after it got signed, so yeah it got a little wet... i cleaned it off before spraying it, and all turned out well

i wouldnt want someone signing my guitar either. Id rather just get a picture with them. Yngwie signed the back of the headstock on my Kelly a few years ago and I regret it. Im gonna put a bound DK2 neck on there to replace it

I was at the Bodom show in SF last night too! My friend got a CoB guitar pick! Lucky bastard ;) Oh well, maybe next time I'll be lucky. What really pissed me off was how Iced Earth's set was 500 hours long, and Bodom played for, like, two seconds. Yeah, I know IE was headlining, and they're alright, but I'd much rather listen to Bodom for an extended period of time instead of them :) The venue also kinda sucked. Tiny little ballroom with Woodstock-worthy speakers. When Alexi screamed my eardrums almost burst :) Still had a hell of a time, though. I guess next time I'll get earplugs or cotton or something. I hope Bodom headlines their next tour, if they played as long as IE did last night that would have been awesome.

roope > alexi :)

Ahh, got yer neck signed, bro!
As for people overshadowing Roope; in the US I see it happening more often; over in Finland people have been familiar with Roope's skill for a MUCH longer time than people overseas; Stone wasn't as familiar here, really, the only exposure the US/many folks had to Roope was Sinergy, before he started playing in CoB; and not as many know that he's one of Alexi's inspirations. Straight skill wise, Roope's been doing it a lot longer, of course(20 years or something? I think he started young, too.)

That probably explains some of the overshadowing of Roope. Simply not enough exposure out of Finland till now. And figure in one more thing; he learned songs that were already written(fast which is a feat in itself), but you can't see a guitarist's full potential in a 'session' situation I think. Which again, is some of the only exposure to Roope some folks have. But at least now it's been inspiring people to check out his other work!

Now, as PEOPLE, they are both some of the nicest, sweetest people I ever met; on those terms; they are completely equal. :) But Roope does have some years on Alexi playing; while Alexi completely smokes, and is indeed one of my guitar inspirations, Roope does have some on him.

Roope has much better and more developed technique than Alexi as you can see when he plays live for Sinergy, but Alexi just has this insane writing ability that Roope can't touch. His soloing is a lot more creative than Roope's although not as perfected. They're both fucking great and I have all the respect for Roope in the world. I really regret not being able to get a picture taken with him at the Philly show.

i was all about roope this tour, the only time i talked to alexi was when he tried to hand my phone to some random chump on the street. i said " hey thats mine." and thats the most i said to him from both shows combined. i got a pic with roope, i was muttering something about "taking a picture with a legend" and hes like. . ." leg. . leg. . legend my ahhssss" (he was slightly drunk, and i shared my jack with him.) but yeah, i was gonna get my white rhoads signed, but i didnt bring it to either show. i had second thoughts anyways.
