one thing that confuses me about floating trems is i know the original floyd can do things the licenced ones cant (random guess that flutter thing is one whatever it is), but what other bridges can do these extra fancy things as well

oh and whats so good about that trem kerry king uses?
the origional can't do anything that the licensed ones can't, its just of better quality than most of the licensed ones(the exception being the ibanez edge/lo pro edge/edge pro line)... the tremelo's kerry king uses if i'm not mistaken are kahlers, and those are fairly high quality tremelo's, you can even adjust per string action, but they don't have that great of sustain(and i know from personal experience)... they are really stable though, and a great design.

well not be an ass but in my opinon the tremelo dont make a guitar better. i like the tune o matics with the string thru better.

this setup has much better sustain and tone. it is also my preferred setup, though i won't turn down a guitar with a trem, i just don't really use the trem...

get a lo pro edge hehe, you won't be disappointed. replaceable knife edges, improved saddles, pop in whammy bar, no more screwing it in, locking studs(if you buy a whole lo pro edge kit), stability is just so much better on the edge. oh, and the springs on the back are secured onto the tremelo via a bar and screw... and theres a bit more bulk to an edge, and an improved counterweight... all in all a better design.
Damn, you convinced me just with that line :p
Know any good sites to buy one of those??

i saw a jackson star Rhoads V that was similar to the RR1 that had all black hardware but the black pinstripe design, similar to what i did to mine before i stripped off the paint... and the pick guard imo is a staple of the guitar

btw, i may know a bit now, but i'm really gonna know my shit when i go to luthiery school in feb.

i like this over the black alexi sig

That is a bad ass guitar... An ebony fretboard would make it look better, in my opinion.

(to elysian)Don't waste your time on this guy. He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about.

HAHA, I may not get along with this DB, but he definitely knows his shit. I can't see how you can come to the conclusion that he doesn't.

he was telling me to not argue with you, because you are an idiot. i guess his point was proven, because you didn't understand what he said.
