ive been listening to alot of Dream Theater recently and i have to say that John Petrucci is a amazing guitar player. so in a contest of some sort who would win and why?

Alexi and John are very talented. But remember DT are playing 25 minutes songs and COB are playing 5 minutes songs. So longer song longer guitar solo.
Allu playing some YJM style, but john has his own style and playing with 7 string Ibanez. So i think can't compare this guys.

You just had to bring this up, didn't you? Both Alexi and John are my gods. I've been listening to CoB for about 3 years, while I have been listening to DT for about, 11 years. John went to the Berkely School of Music so.............I don't know, explaining it would take too much space. Can I choose both? If not, I'll have to choose Petrucci. Sorry Alexi.

while I did listen a lot of stuff from DT and immediately recognized the inmense talent of the guitarrist, the music overall just didn't do it for me. And part of skill is being able to come up with and play amazing melodies and riffs that make you wanna say "holy fuck that was awesome!!"
And Alexi wins in my opinion.

Hmm,If I compare Jackson and Ibanez I say I like jackson's better.I tried two 7-string guitars (Ibanez) and they didn't feel like what I wanted them to.After that I tried some Jackson's.Warriors,Kelly and Rhoads 59.They were a lot better for me

yeah, these are the headliners. Jackson and Ibanez. I'm not telling that Jackson is better neither Ibanez is better. I like both. But i never saw 7 string Jackson. Is exist?
