Photo Mistress
Hey all... I thought it would be nice to have ONE major thread with links to all sites that have any live/offstage/promo photos of Opeth. I hope this idea works. It works really well on the Kreator forum. Anyone want to help post some links? I can tell ya I have photos from Sounds of the Underground in Mountain View plus seven other gigs. Eventually I will be scanning and posting photos from the other 13 Opeth gigs I have been to, but it will be a while. Mine are on www.photomistress.com . Here are some more links that I know about:

Thanks for your compliments and I am glad you guys like this idea and are contributing as well! I'll see if I can find some more links tonight. I figure once some of the other forum members realize the forum is back, then they will post the links to their own fan pages or pictures they took of Opeth as well.

Hey Alina! I was at Ozzfest 2005 @ Mountain View! Nice shots! Where were they taken from, and what sort of camera ? I'm an amature myself. Have a Canon 20D and a few lenses so far. TBH, I'd be afraid to bring such and expensive camera to Ozzfest though ;-).

Hi zortz... I am glad you like the shots! They were taken from the photo pit. The digital I use (which are those particular shots) is a Minolta DiMage Z1. It kicks my butt. All the photos that Megadeth has used in three different tour programs were taken with that camera as well. You are friggin lucky as HELL to afford the 20D, that's my dream camera. Even if you brought it to SOTU or Ozzfest, you wouldn't have gotten in the gate with it. You have to go through HELL to get on the photo pass list. Argh that was a bitch. You wouldn't have even been able to sneak in with my digital. I also took pics of SOTU and Ozzfest with my regular print film (35mm) camera. But it will be another couple months at least before I can afford to get those developed, scan them and post them.

Yeh. 20D is awesome. A lot to learn though for a beginner.

I was at Ozzfest and at the main stage, there was a guy w/ a SLR film camera right next to me. Was in section 101, row E. I didn't notice any sort of special pass, etc. Not sure how he got it in there. I only took some crappy shots with my camera phone ;-).
