Seeing as how everyone's trying to decipher Stanne's lyrics I thought I'd take on Am I 1? Mistakes are all over the place so anyone who thinks they can fix or build on this - by all means give it a shot.

Am I I?

I grant to you -
No privilege as a person
No sense of self
A denial of choice
It wants out

So from all the little bits and pieces
.......
A wicked new beginning
I don't ever want to see

It's the oldest trick in the book
Just like everything you always knew
Torn apart its very end
There's nothing left to be

I can't have a mind to say
all the things that bother me today
You better check the ..., in that coffin of yours
I'm just the one
The one you thought you knew

I am one?
Who am I?
No character to be lost inside

The mind is hard to please
Surrendering...

Words clenched; eviscerate
Can you feel the frustration?
There's a part of me that cannot heal
With the character I am forced to be

It's a .... failed plan
To lay a world afoot
Lost in community
......

Is there really nothing more than this?
All the emptiness remains
..........
..........

The first verse is all good to my ears. Anyway:

"So from all the little bits and pieces
A simple case of loss is found
A wicked new beginning"

"I can't have a mind to say
all the things that bother me today
You better check if it's me, in that coffin of yours"

The stuff in italics is, and will be in the rest of the post, what I hear. There's a few yeah's that I can't be bothered putting there though.

"The mind is hard to please
Surrendering with ease"
It's absolutely impossible to say if that MURRR :)p) at the end is a word, but I heard "with", and it would fit.

"There's a part of me that cannot deal
With the character I am forced to be"
It's a pretty interesting line, considering the talk about the "heavy metal postures" on the board lately. Not like I'm saying that it influnced the lyrics, but there's a similar tone as the one of rahvin's maybe.

"It's a fitly failed plan [from the word "fit"]
To lay a world afoot
Lost in community
Light in belonging

Is there really nothing more than this?
All the emptiness remains
So [some adjective, probably] your preface
.........."

There's my 2 cents.
