Am I insane for not being a big fan of Iron Maiden?

Maiden doesn't know how to play a power chord and therefore have very little power in their guitars.

I don't know what band you've been listening to, but Maiden, like most Metal bands, use primarily power chords (root-fifth interval) in their music. Find any of their music books and you'll see that.

Now, if you're talking about the actual SOUND of the guitars lacking power, I can understand where you're coming from. The sonics of the guitars have always been a bit lacking in power.
