Amazing jazz albums

Brad Mehldau is another great trio with Jeff Ballard (sick) on drums and Larry Grenadier on bass. Mehldau is considered by many to be the best modern day jazz pianist.

Here's the Avishai COhen Trio as well. Guiliana on drummmms. Coltrane, Mingus, and Avishai Cohen were the first 3 that sucked me into jazz.

another version of a song ken posted up above. IMO this one is way better but they're totally different. the guy playing drums on this video is ridiculous.

Ken - where should I start with Avishai Cohen albums?

His best earlier work with a mid-sized ensemble would be Colors, imho. More recent work where you can't go wrong with is Continuo and his trio album Gently Disturbed. After that, spring for his At Home and Live @ Blue Note releases.

The rest you can pass on.

nice.. thanks for the tips dude. b-day is soon... asked my girlfriend to pick up Continuo and some older Santana CDs for me (only have the vinyls). good fuckin summer music

BY THE WAY
