I'm a terminal n00b when it comes to jazz. Some albums I fucking love:

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew, In A Silent Way, and A Tribute to Jack Johnson
Sun Ra - Space is the Place
John Coltrane - Interstellar Space
Charles Mingus - The Clown

I love those and have like 6 other jazz albums. That's it really. In A Silent Way got me through some weird times driving back from LA constantly, and Bitches Brew is one of my desert island albums, but I still don't consider myself a real "jazz" dude.

Unless you count Yakuza - Transmutations and Meshuggah - I but I'm not sure if one does.
