Amott goes Washburn?

What's weird is that Randall and ESP have been taking out ads together lately in Revolver and Guitar World. I wonder why Amott left ESP, and I also wonder why Randall would cross-promote with ESP who is a competitor of Washburn. I thought Randall and Washburn were the same company?

^They are owned by the same parent company.

Also, unless Andy is pulling our chain, he already said it wasn't any of the brands people listed in that other thread (of which Washburn was named), and then Amott said either on his Myspace, the AE myspace or something that he hadn't yet decided who to go with in terms of a new deal...Although, I'm sure something is in the works with someone

I'm sure Andy knows...he's probably just not at liberty to say who until it's announced.

Isn't that the fiddle the dudes from Arsis are using now???

it is. He almost fuckin lost it here in Houston, too, having set it behind some other gear... and someone else almost grabbed it up. Luckily, I think is was just another band they were with, so I doubt they'd have kept it.

But yeah, Jim plays that one. Doesnt actually look so bad in person

If I remember correctly, his was a more cream color and sans the pinstripes... but that was months ago, and gallons of alcohol have passed through me since...

I played with Carcass last weekend and been meaning to post that he was playing the Michael Schenker signature Dean, but someone beat me too it lol.
Bill Steer played a sunburst eclipse. I'll add that this was the first time I've seen them play, never mind play with them lol Bill Steer gave me Peter Lindgren Vibes.

Not digging that guitar at all. I just got an email from Dean Guitars early today announcing that Mike Amott just joined them. Hopefully a wicked guitar comes out of that deal.
