I sold my Engl Invader 150 to Trent from After the Burial and really like the tone he is getting from his 8 string on that amp. With that being said about 6 months after I sold Trent the Engl I sold Justin from ATB my Mesa Boogie Mark IV and TS-9 and I really like that tone even more than the Engl. There is something about the Mark IV that really cleans up that low F on their stuff that does it for me. Maybe because there is less compression with the lower gain amp that the low end is more dominant and focused? And the 5-band EQ doesn't hurt.
Amp suited for 8 string?

With really low tunings, sometimes I wonder if a crossover and a second rig wouldn't be a worthwhile route to pursue?
