Only good songs are Blackened, the title track, One, and the "instrumental".

Yeah, I listened to this last night. I still give Orion the edge, but TLITD is unbelievable - I've always thought that mid-section with the build up after the finger picking was some of the best music they'd ever recorded. I cannot pick up an acoustic without playing that interlude myself. :Smug:

The Call of Ktulu is the best instrumental track ever, possibly even the best MetallicA track.

1 Dyers Eve is no 1, hardest song to play, and their best ever in my opinion.
2 To live is to Die, I have to agree a monumental song of passion and emotion.

Are people putting One so low in their lists because it's so overplayed? Or because they actually do like it less than the others?

I like it less than a few other tracks, but with an album like this it's like trying to rate the different bites in a most excellent burrito. Sure you can clarify which bites are the best, but it's still a burrito, and therefore the whole thing kicks ass.

I think I'm too hungry to be on the Internet right now.

I had One toward the bottom only because I actually like the other songs more; but NAD said it best. Which is why he's now immortalized in my signature.
