And then there was two!

It seemed to good to be true that everything had fallen into place during January!

Regarding the bands who don't care to come to ProgPower USA, then I don't care to see them at ProgPower USA. I'm just as happy to see great up-and-coming bands play that are hungry and apprciative of the opportunity to play and win fans.

I am with you on this. I love finding new bands. Plus, it is amazing the attention bands get from this one performance. You see their message boards go crazy with attention after their gig at PP. It worked for Tad Morose, and Brainstorm for example. I look forward to so many more American fans of Orphaned Land, Manticora, symphorce, and Circus Maximus after this show. their message boards will be full of chatter.

as for bands that don't want to do a sure bet sold out performance in an atmosphere you are more like to see in europe, who cares about them!

i'll say it again. masterplan and angra/evergrey. i'm guessing glenn is probably trying to book anyone BUT evergrey to try and avoid overplaying them at the fest, and if he can't comfirm someone soon, evergrey will fill the slot

That's a good way of looking at it.

Masterplan and Angra and/or Symphony X would be awsome. I hope your right about the Evergrey thing. I could do without Evergrey. I would love to see Masterplan but for some reason do not think it will be them. I hope I am wrong.

Well....I'll just hope for Symphony X....or at the least, someone I know.

Edit: Or Devin Townsend would also be great for a returning band...

I'm just happy as hell I'm going and SYMPHORCE is playing! Now if MASTERPLAN and PRIMAL FEAR were announced that would just be the shit! caught Primal Fear here in 2004 at the L.A. Gates of Metal a hugely UNDER ANNOUNCED and UNDER PROMOTED show but Primal Fear gave 200% to a small 21 & over crowd who were exteremely appreciative they didn't just bail! There were problems with equipment and such but the guys sounded loud, tight and on it! I'd love to see them agian! Masterplan hasn't made it out of player in over a year....I just can't stop listening to it! Thanks again to :worship: Glenn for his prime choice of SYMPHORCE!

Well....I hope that one of the headliners will be somewhat prog.....I have a hunch that one of them at least will be....

Does the lineup really need another German power metal band?

PF for me is more classic 80's metal but again...it's all good for me...a weeks vacation, great music, meet fascinating people and buy a bunch of cd's...what more can one ask for?

I'm thinking at this stage Glenn is looking more in a traditional power-metal direction for one and probably both bands (after all, this fest has gotta sell tickets),.....but damnit, it'd be cool to see Devy again, and not while touring with SYL. (Nothing against SYL, and the new CD is excellent, but they'll be touring and playing here in a month or so anyway.)

Kittybeast, I'm feeling that Symphorce logo there!!! I like that! I'm still trying to get into Symphorce though. I find myself prefering Brainstorm over them, so I need to get over my bias there in order to appreciate what Symphorce is doing.

Thanks Edge and big hugz to Dennis for the great USA site banner! Now if I can just figure out how to turn the banner into a link.... Andy is a great frontman and vox for both bands. I am sure in Sept. you will be greatly appreciative of what you will get from Symphorce's set!
