And then

@d_j: sounds interesting, i'm sure i'd like to read some of it! i remember the player's manuals were a riot.
my favourite (and hyena's, we played it together for a while) is trial by fire. i never even finished the last one: noone can do adventure games anymore.

Trial by Fire was damned good, its probably my equal favourite with Shadows of Darkness...then again, being a huge Lovecraftian/Transylvania fan, how could I not be? It really lit my pyre...heh heh, little graveyard humour there

i think it was clever if it referred to sierra's hero quest game series (so you want to be a hero, trial by fire, wages of war, heart of darkness, dragon fire) and merely geeky if it was about the board game. ;)
I was actually referring to the old board game. It brings back memories.

seriously, aren't hats gay? i mean, for men of our age? some blokes think they're teh cool when running around with one of those, but it just looks plain stupid.

i don't know about gay, but i could never wear a hat, only dwarven helmets.
still there's some folks that look sort of cool in hats, provided it's not the only thing they're wearing at the time.
