Andy, James - Best album of 2005?

hmmm

darkane-layers of lies
dark tranquillity-character
behemoth-demigod
enslaved-isa(us)
nile-annihilation of the wicked
bloodbath-nightmares made flesh
blood red throne-altered genesis
nevermore-tge

the new chimaira, nevermore, arch enemy, red chord, opeth, devildriver, black dahlia murder, and BLS albums ruled my CD player this year.

OT -- Show of the year nominee goes to this past Thursday night @ the Pound in San Francisco which had 400 sardined metalheads packed to see Fear Factory, Soilwork, Strapping Young Lad, and Darkane. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to in the Bay Area, really intense the whole show, which is kind of unusual in these parts.

edit: mind you, the Pound is suited for about 200 people tops; I suppose it had to be around 100 degrees F in there

that show was awesome here as well. it was the best i had seen ff, soilwork was all drunk and highly entertaining, and darkane was darkane and that was the whole reason i went anyways. it was a killer show.
