Andy Sneap talks about the Kemper Profiling Amp

No I'm not. I'm not a professional. I just have an opinion of my own that I based on the fact that I had the Kemper for three weeks and did not like it. That is way stronger than taking someone's word for it. My advice is that it's not for everyone so try one first before you buy one. Just because a professional likes it will not make me like the Kemper. That's hype just like Axe-Fx was all hype back when I was telling people not to sell their tube amps. The Kemper is a cool unit but I have an extremely strong feeling that it'll fade into history in a few years.

Clark for what it is worth, I think you are right. The kemper just doesnt do it for you. Does that make you wrong? No, it just means you dont care for it. Now if the Kemper comes out with some new stuff and sound even better, I think it will run side by side with the axe-fx for years to come.

+1 to jarry
but the kemper here in japan costs so much money 2500 usd to be exact better buy me some bugera for now

There is also the possibility that you simply weren't able to profile amps properly to get the best results, unbeknownst to you. Considering we have people like Sneap using it on an album and nobody can tell where he used it in place of the real thing... that is stronger than taking your word for it.

Clark was agree with me. I agree with him too. Just like he said the same source and same quality video just sounds different to our ears. I know that Andy is a master in audio and I don't know a shit. But my ears have learned something about music and sound since I was very young. That is just what I say. I love technology, I know the Kemper is a great effort and is good. But this is what I hear.

That might as well be the case. People don't seem to "want to" take my word as I say it. I said I think the Kemper could easily pass as a real amplifier. I was disappointed in the accuracy of the profiling. And just like Andy said:

... the riff we were a/bing with was probably slightly tweaked for the song/riff so its as close as we could get it...

He also agrees on the profiling not being 100% accurate. After that it's all about what you can live with. A small thing like that annoyed me too much.

To me it all comes down to, can you hear the difference in a mix, in a blind test? If not then it's good enough for me!

Plenty of people making good recordings using Pod Farm etc, and the Kemper sounds MUCH better/more real than a Pod imo.

Not with Match EQ! ;-)

I'm pretty sure Clark Kent can't read. If you got "not 100% accurate" out of the statement you've quoted then you need to revisit some reading comprehension basics.

Andy said that he tweaked the profile to sound more like the real thing which is somewhat the same thing as "profiling was not 100% correct". Jeff I don't know what your problem is. I've taken count and this is your sixth "so called" attack on me and you also love to diss other people quite often. If you haven't noticed, I don't give a "Jeff" about your drama. It comes across like you have something to compensate for to make yourself fit the whole metal scene of the forum in ways like this but I don't want to have any part of it. Us metal people should be bros and homies... those Zakk Wylde stereotypes are dead and you clearly aren't one in real life so stop playing.

No offence.
