I chose OZZY-Blizzard of Ozz.To this day I still love this album!!

Ozzy once said;"I still have'nt made my Seargent Pepper's album yet"

Well Oz,you came real close right out of the gate!:worship:

1) "Blizzard Of Ozz" - Come on people! Randy Rhoads!! :worship:

2) "Heaven & Hell" - This one took a long time to click with me but now I love it! Tony Iommi has an uncany ability to write perfectly for any vocalist.
3) "Iron Maiden" - A great debu from my favourite band!
4) "Ace Of Spades" - A classic release full of energy!
5) "Back In Black" - Truely awesome album, I just wish my brother didn't play it nearly every fuckin' day!!!!!! But I guess that's my fault for getting him hooked on AC/DC :p

Had to go with 'Back in Black' on this one. Truely a classic and such a commercial success also. Another good year for albums. How come there isn't this many good albums coming out nowadays?

There are. This first half of 2005 has seen the release of the following stong albums:

Astral Doors - Evil Is Forever
Beyond Twilight - Section X
Biomechanical - The Empires Of The Worlds
Bruce Dickinson - Tyranny Of Souls
Candlemass - Candlemass
Cloudscape - Cloudscape
Communic - Conspiracy In Mind
Dew Scented - Issue VI
Diamond Head - All Will Be Revealed
Dream Theater - Octavarium
Firewind - Forged By Fire
Force Of Evil - Black Empire
Hellfire - Requiem For My Bride
Kamelot - The Black Halo
Kreator - Enemy of God
Lalu - Oniric Metal
Masterplan - Aeronautics
Mors Principium Est - The Unborn
Overkill - RelixIV
Pagan's Mind - Enigmatic Calling
Pantommind - Shade of Fate
Paradise Lost - Paradise Lost
Russell Allen - Atomic Soul
Sabaton - Primo Victoria
Shadow Gallery - Room V
Space Odyssey - The Astral Episode
Spheric Universe Experience - Mental Torments

That should keep you busy for a few weeks!

had to go with the debut from Iron Maiden.... a heavy metal superband in its infancy, but you knew they would be huge. I remember getting a copy of the soundhouse tapes and being completely blown away ....

AC/DC "Back in Black" is a close second considering the loss of Bon Scott and how the band pulled together so soon afterward to release a kick-ass record

3. Black Sabbath - Heaven & Hell (Dio made some great music with Sabbath)
4. British Steel - Judas Priest (the crossover record for Priest in my opinion)
5.Blizzard of Ozz - Ozzy Osbourne (one word - Randy)
6.Wheels of Steel / Strong Arm - Saxon (Biff or STFU!)
7.Ace Of Spades - Motorhead (Lemmy is God)
8.Women And Children First - Van Halen (Dave's best record vocally)

All amazing records --- and i was 15 that year!! I musta been going out of my mind to get the money for all those!! LOL

and Unmasked by Kiss was not '80

I've checked about half a dozen sources and they all say 1980. You're not thinking of Lick it Up are you? That's the first one without the makeup. The reissue of Creatures of the Night had them without makeup but not the original. I think the reissue also has Vinnie Vincent on the cover. The original has Ace.

"Unmasked" is 1980. "Dynasty" 1979 and "Music From The Elder" 1981. I'm sure TVF can confirm this :D
