anthrax is not really going to be playing ozzfest are they?

Id pay $60 to go see Anthrax. In Oz we dont have the privelage of seeing the band half a dozen times a year.

gigantour = 2,000 to 3,000 people
ozzfest = at least 10,000 people

Not that I really want to go to Ozzfest again. I will if Anthrax is there.
Not necessarily. Some places had up to 6,000. The great thing about Gigantour was the fact that it didnt need to sell out to be succesful. I am hoping it will be a yearly thing, something my friends and I will always be able to go to as a way of closing out the summer.

Gigantour, while not meant to compete with Ozzfest just yet, is supposed to be Mustaine's version. Somehow I don't think Megadeth will do Ozzfest.

Ozzfest started out smaller too, not that small, but the first year was a arena tour. Gigantour's set up was better than Ozzfest. I thought it was great this year. Ozzfest is too damn long! After 12 hrs in the baking sun everyone is beat before the headliners hit the stage. I think it is ridiculous to have Ozzfest without Ozzy. He is only going to play a few special dates this year.
Flood the Gigantour forum!!!!

Screw Sharon Osbourne, there's too much crap anyway, Wacken Open Air rules! Or at least it did when I was there (2004).

Actually, the first Ozzfest could hardly be considered a tour - it was only 2 dates in California (October 26th, 1996) and Arizona (October 25th, 1996).

I'm not sure of the size of the Blockbuster Pavillion in Arizona, but the one in Devore, CA has a capacity of 50,000. Hardly arenas...

Actually: Many of these shows were inside arenas and auditoriums.

Bleearg is right.
I was at the Wed-10/02/1996 Saginaw, MI show at Wendler ARENA with Danzig and Sepultura. Prong was supposed to be there also but they disbanded for awhile and Tommy Victor was playing with Danzig.
