The Scorpion and Die Dead Enough are the best two songs on the album. Kick the Chair, Blackmail the Universe and Back in the Day all suck balls.

:OMG: your oppinion mate

We're finally coming back to western Canada! I think it's been since 1988 for Edmonton and Calgary. And it's about time we got back to the NW. What's it been 5 years?
There is something planned for after this. Hopefully it will be confirmed soon.

well, I really think I can do this and this time Scott I will try not to mess up my sternum while trying to enjoy the experience which is Anthrax live!!:headbang:

That would make chicago, hopefully my own Phoenix, and possibly both Northwest cities for me this year bringing it to a grand total of 98 Anthrax gigs for my idiotic selfo_O

I love how ppl bash the shit outta MegadetH when Dave's put out NOTHING half as bad as the LOADS or St. Anger.

Even RISK was better than those 3 pieces of sheot.

RISK was a failed sell out...
but yer right, was still much better than anything Met's done in years and years and years and years

I might look weird but I actually like Risk very much...of course it´s not metal but it doesn´t mean it´s not good...

I haven't given 2 shits about Megadeth since Countdown, and that was "eh", even though I do listen to it about once every 2 years. I happen to like the Load records. Am I not "metal" enough if I say that? Whatthefuckever.

This is getting a bit off-topic, but I've just heard Megadeth's new greatest hits compilation, which presumably includes the remixed/remastered versions of everything. I don't like the new remixes, firstly, and secondly, unsurprisingly, they're remastered too fucking loud, especially Rust in Peace; shit loads of clipping going on there. I'll hang on to the old record mixed by Mike Clink, thank you. Peace Sells just sounded ...I dunno, all over the place. Not a tight mix. And it sounds like Mustaine re-recorded his leads in Wake Up Dead. The old mix was better. It's a shame that the 2004 versions now officially replace Megadeth's catalog. I'll have to track down the old CD of So Far...

You´re right, but creating such a heavy pile of shit as "Load" is really hard to achieve, I think.

Last time there was a Northwest gig was for the Maximum Rock tour. This is bad ass. I'm going to do my damndest to get to Seattle and Portland shows. Twice seeing Anthrax and Megadeth on the same bill, 3 times if you count both concerts I'll be going to. My birthday's 3 days before the Seattle show, happy bday to me.

DAMNIT!

That would be the only thing that could make Gigantour better! Unfortunatley, I live in PA and am going to the Reading show.

over here in the US, we have these outdoor amphitheaters that are around 6,000-12,000 estimated size places. They are generally seated areas with a nice sized lawn area in the back.

That is the type of arena most of the gigantour gigs are being played in. I have no idea how well the tickets are selling in most of these places but I do know that Dave did a pretty good job at selecting bands.
You will have the megadeth fans of course. Dream theater and Symphony X fans are usually similar. There is a nice sized Nevermore fan base. Anthrax hasn't played up there in Western Canada and the Northwest US in a bit especially with this lineup. Alot of people in the US aren't willing to travel around for gigs like the metal fans do in Europe so I know for a fact that alot of people in these areas haven't seen Anthrax yet this year with the classic lineup.

You can see the interest for this tour over at http://forums.gigantour.com

I won't know for sure until later this month but the stars seem to have aligned well for me. I really can't take anymore days off for most of the rest of the year so I like how the Portland and Seattle dates are set up plus they are conventiently not too far from airport/hotels.:worship:

Megadeth discussion? I love the first 3 tracks on TSHF. But to be real honest, I prefer TWNAH to it.

yeah man TWNAH is a better all rounder but TSHF wins it for me simply because blackmail the universe is probably the best opener sinse holy wars in my opinion, very rust in peace so it is!...anyone else thinks die dead enough is oh so slightly def leparrd though? hahaha!

Why are they joining the tour so late if they don't have anything scheduled yet behind those dates? Is Bush coming back?? Doubt it but wishful thinking never hurt anyone.I had a feeling they'd join this tour and was shot down several times whenever I'd mention Anthrax on this bill.

I'll be at the Aug 28 date in Atlantic City. Gambling, drinking, moshing, smoking, loving. Anthrax or not, it will be one hell of a weekend.

LOA, Megadeth, Anthrax....what a pipe dream. Three of my favorite bands of all time even though Megadeth has sucked for a long time now.

Dude the last Megadeth album "The System Has Failed" kicked ass!!!! It's better than anything since "Rust In Peace" hell I like it better.. Sorry everyone.. The album before that "The World Needs A Hero" had some great shit on there too..

I though DDE was weak at first but after seeing it live it changed everything.. The last couple minutes of "Truth Be Told" are AMAZING....

Dude, I got a big fucking boner when I saw the thread.... I wish I never read it now though.. Anthrax won't be playing the Boston Show..... That would have been sooooooooo Sweet. I didn't know any Dream Theatre except one song. I have downloaded a few and I really don't like them.

Yeah I agree, Blackmail The Universe fucking crushes, also I rate Kick The Chair as one of the best ´Deth songs ever...
