antithesis is some good thrash with a progresive flare. you might also might want to check out eternity x. zero hout is a must if you like tech-metal like spiral architect. and check out fates warning, especially stuff from "awaken the gaurdian."

heheh yeah it was FOREVER i was talking about Andromeda I got the debut just before the release years ago and it was like a miracle, i can't even remember why i got it but it was a REAL eye opener, no one really payed attention to me though the first time i said anything. But now people know MUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! And... well the music is incredible, but you will either love or hate the vocals. I love them.
Oh and Infinite Dream i have heard Ark, i own both albums. His The vocals are good, but not as good as Andromeda's or Pain of Salvation's IMHO

I've heard In The Deepest of Waters now.. on my second listen... sounds really cool and I like the vocals... not prefer clean Opeth, Pain of Salvation and Tool tho'... I hope the rest of their repertoire (sp?) is this good...

In general, I much prefer progressive rock to progressive metal (due to my disdain for power metal and the fact that many prog metal bands have power metal elements) but I still do love a bunch of prog metal bands:
