Please forgive if this is the wrong place, but I couldnt find a concerts tab. Maybe i didnt look hard enough.

I am seeing Sabbath in Chicago on their final tour. Anyone else seeing them at any stop??

Judas Priest and Scorpions both had "final tours" in recent years, which I attended, and proved not to be final tours. I know Iommi has had some health issues, but we'll see if this is just another marketing gimmick...

Regardless, I'm hoping they add some more show dates. If they get anywhere nearby, I'd certainly go see them. I saw them 2 years ago & it was great.

Definitely, one of my favourite bands and they're playing 20 mins walk from home! I'm fairly tolerant when it comes to old bands doing their thing, because to me it's far better than not seeing them at all. They were great last time, but I hope they change the setlist a bit to add some variety.

And yeah, they can't be 100% sure that it's the final one, but it seems likely.

Sadly, no. Sabbath is my favorite band, but sadly, I won't get the chance to see them. It's sad because I've never seen Sabbath before at all. I've actually never been to a concert.

Saw Sabbath back in the late 90's on a reunion tour when Godsmack opened for them. As sad as this sounds, Godsmack destroyed the place, Ozzy must not have been feeling well, vocally terrible and he couldn't keep with the song timing consistently. Musically it was incredible, Iommi and Geezer were keeping it true. If Sabbath were coming closer to my area, I would consider seeing them, but as it stands I'm not planning to make the 6-7 hour drive to the closest show in DC.

Just bought my ticket last night. I'm going to the Melbourne show. Sabbath is one of my favourite bands and I've never seen them (nor Ozzy solo) and I realised that this is a now or (probably) never moment. Like someone mentioned earlier though, these 'final tours' have a remarkable tendency to turn out not to be.

I just bought a regular ticket though, as I wasn't prepared to shell out $2.5k Australian dollars for the meet and greet/VIP/Ozzy dressing room thing! Yep, that's how much Sharon is - sorry, Sabbath are - selling those tickets for. Two and a half thousand dollars a pop.

Yea, I am. Twice in fact. Have only seen Sabbath with Ozzy once. Never have seen Sabbath with Dio. Would love to see them with Bill Ward, but beggars can't be choosers.
I found the "13" tour to be pretty good. Not as good as old concert videos I have seen, but at least Ozzy's voice wasn't shot, and Tony, Geezer, and (i think the fill-in drummer's name is this?) Tommy were on their game.

I saw them a couple years ago on what was probably seen as their potential last tour. But given that I go to so few concerts these days, I might look at the date they are doing in my area as my one concert of the year for 2016.

Don't know if you guys have seen this recent promo vid. Complete with overdubbed vocals whenever Ozzy is 'singing' during rehearsals, except for one brief moment. Looks a bit worrying.... Still, I'm happy to just be seeing them up on stage.

Thanks for the rehearsal video link. If we assume that their rehearsal setlist is going to be their tour setlist, then it's going to be pretty similar to last tour, except that they're maybe adding After Forever & Hand of Doom. I'm looking forward to the show!

Me too. It's going to be amazing, whatever they play as far as I'm concerned. I think I went through about a decade of aversion towards stadium shows, so the once or twice I could have seen Sabbath in Melbourne I was too cool to go, or went and saw an underground band somewhere. Glad I'm finally going to see them!
