The currect situation in the land of Kashmir between Pakistan and India is what I personally fear the most right now. Two nuclear powers in a conflict that has been escalating since the mid 1940's after world war 2. They both have enough nuclear war-heads to blow eachother to pieces. If nuclear war does explode, besides the millions that will die over there, we we will get the radiation from these bombs if they do explode, which will cause alot of deaths now, and for years to come..especially in the countries closest to India and Pakistan. Regarding the whole middle east conflict, I wont go on here about who's right, who's wrong..but these 2 countries obviously dont seem to see a fault in their doings, and just blame the other..so until there is this narrow mindness, it will never end. Its just a matter of time, I believe, before these 2 countries go to war, involving the Arab League/Nations, which would brake ties with the United States(who are allied with Isreal) thus causing a chain of reaction that will lead to THE war...unless people change their ways, I think that in a matter of years that could happen..but the hope of change in people remains a forlorn idea in my eyes..

I don't think this will be any different to the cold war, Cuba standoff, etc... I don't know what's going on in the British media, but it's definitely premature to be describing the conflict in the sub-continent as WWIII.

I see alot of different potentials for war. There's the Paki/India thing. There's also the potential of a USA/Iraq thing on the horizon (depends on if Bush decides to follow through with his 'axis of evil' bullshit). If terrorists hit a US nuclear powerstation, how much restraint would the US have with nukeing them back? I worry about this.
And there was something mentioned in the news yesterday, I didn't hear it properly, but something like the US wanting to make some bases for their weapons in this part of the world (NZ/australia/pacific region), to guard against China or something, and this had annoyed China or something- if something happened, we'd be in the middle of it (and fuck, NZ doesn't even have an airforce anymore, the current government has seen to that, much less any ability to defend against nukes (and we are nuke free))

okay, i guess i have to explain what's serious in my post and what wasn't

i hate what the israelian army is doing to palestinian people, and it's not really a matter of religion [as you can't call me a muslim really or even a believer, in the common meaning of this term and as i don't really care about each other's religions] , but it's a matter of FREEDOM. Ariel Sharon is a nazi, Yasser Arafat is an arrogant selfish pig, and as long as these two bummers will lead these countries, it'll keep on sucking massive bollocks in this area.

most jewish people don't agree with Sharon's military action, and everybody is getting tired of that never ending war over there. so kicking out Sharon & Arafat is all it would take to start thinking about peace there. but USA are arse kissing Sharon, and Europe is arse kissing USA, so it'll never end.

opression sucks ass for sure, call it Israel against Palestin, UK against Nothern Ireland, China against Nepal, or Irak against Koweit, whatever. so it's definately not a matter of religion in my eyes, but it's a matter of FREEDOM AGAINST OPRESSION.

Why see it as so black and white? Why not aknowledge the good sides and the bad sides fo religion - you'd have to be amazingly short sighted to not realise there are some advantages...and amazingly stupid to not realise there are disadvantages...

Anyway, the Israel/Palestine thing - IMO they're both as bad as each other - neither side is doing "the correct" thing, I just wish they'd learn to compomise.. (which is blatantly not going to happen )

After Spetember 11th people were saying - it's going to be WWIII we're all going to die - and look how wrong they were - if someone as stupid as george bush fails to start WWIII I feel its unlikely someone else will. Also no-one would take sides I don't think to make it into a world war... and IMO it's unlikely either side would actually use their nuclear weapons...

I think it's something to worry about, but not hugely likely either...

i think you can clearly see an opressor and an opressed one. then again, palestinian warriors killing jewish innocents isn't fair at all. but what is even more unfair, is USA+Europe allowing Israel army to slay palestinian people. when Israel kills, call it war. when Palestin kills, call it terrorism.

must i say again i'm not into killing people at all ?
