They are not bad, good music to listen, for background or so. This doesn't mean they are not good or so, but well, it just rocks not that much, but it's good music.
Ha ha ha sounds like you like them but your tough metal instinct wont let you. >~ (j/k) Out of every 15 CDs I own, 14 of them are metal, but I am a mood listener. About one out of fifteen times metal doesn't "do it" for me, so I have other cool stuff, hence the one in 15....
What pisses me off about most"pop" bands I happen to like a single or two from is that they sound great the first few times you listen to them, but it wears out quickly and becomes unlistenable. There seems to be little substance there. The big reason I made this post originally is because I can throw in some Dolls CDs that have been out for years and it still sounds good. I can't think of another pop band (other than 70s popular rock, now labeled classic rock) that has that longevity.
I'm getting Goo Goo Dolls - Gutterflower very soon, I think ^_^
My taste is pretty varied in my own opinion.. Along with Metal, I love Acoustic guitar - I love old Coldplay, for example. I've been told I should like Goo Goo Dolls, so I thought I'd give them a try
Not that it matters I guess but the lead singer's hair makes him look like a woman... a very ugly woman. Their music just doesn't seem inspired, to me. It sounds to me just like every other packaged emotions sound that all the major labels pump out in great volume.
