Arcane - Chronicles of the Waking Dream

Has anyone else heard this album by Brisbane band?

I got it from JB Hifi last week and it is pretty awesome.
Have heard their name for a while now but never checked them out. Then I listened to some of the songs on their MySpace and liked what I heard....

The album is really good... I can hear the obvious influences (Pain of Salvation, Dream Theater, Tool etc.) but it still sounds fresh.

Highly recommended

And you can listen to a few of the tracks on there as well, but because the album is a concept album it is best digested as a whole.....
But yeah, the few songs I heard from the MySpace was enough for me to go and check out the album.

I got very addicted to The Seer when Shadow posted the link. Very much keen to pick up the album. Despite the much pointed out vocal being low in the mix, I actually quite like how it doesn't draw too much attention to itself.

The vocal sounds low in the video.
The mix is much better on the album.
The Seer is not the best song... Secret and Fading are my 2 faves at the moment, but I can definitely see that changing the more I get into it.

I bought The Seer on iTunes, and the vocals are still pretty low...

But it is meant the vocal is meant to drop in and out and swap from left and right channels on that song.
It is low but sounds good on the album to me....
