Edit: It's actually odd how quickly this came to me. I only listen to this album once every year or two. But I don't think there is a single recording that quite comes close to capturing the atmosphere or range of emotions I feel when I listen to this. So, I put it it forth as my número uno

Bergtatt, Pale Folklore, DMDS, Lateralus... all in my Top 27 I say.

As much as I hate comparing/rating music it would probably be either Ever The Silver Cord be Loosed, Heavier than Thou, Black Pyramid, Mythical & Magical, Nordland (I) or Omnivium.
After much thought, no I cant name a single favorite from any genre, let alone overall. But those listed are strong contenders.
