These are kind of shitty, grainy and dark pictures of an oil on wood painting I've started. It's not finished, but I am fond of it. And no it is definitely not supposed to be proportionate or accurate in the anatomical sense :)

Awwweeesooomme. I see what you mean with adding reds and blue into the shadows of the skintone. Excellent job!
 
Oh heavens. It depends on the material, the time and effort I put in... and I hate to say it my relationship to the person. I love giving art to my friends and people I know, so I tend to not sell them for that much. I don't think my work is good enough to sell for loads and loads of money, but the highest price I sold a painting for was $250 dollars because it was large, I stretched the canvas myself, and I spent a lot of time and effort on it.
 
I absolutely love the textures and how the wood grain appears in the painting. I never thought to do something like that.
