Try living on your own and finding stuff.
Walmart becomes the king of the sidewalk.

And who wants to go to ten little stores, instead of one giant one?

Walmart can be helpful... but it is annoying as fuck going there.
I do live on my own.
It's not like you need to go to 10 different stores to get what you need. Those Walmart/Kmarts do not sell grocery items really, so I need to go to a grocery store and/or farmer's market anyways. All pharmacies and grocery stores sell pet food. I would rather go to a real clothing store than to get whatever they sell at Kmart or Walmart.
They also hurt other stores indirectly because the business owners do not make enough money to go to the other places, so they end up going out of business too.

Actually, they do sell food at walmart.

I bought milk their because it was nearly a buck cheaper than sev.

You want rip off, SEV (7-11).

Fuck them.

(But <3 slurpies!)

ON TOPIC: I bought a pillow at Walmart during my tenure in College. I disliked it. TOO PLUMP.
Also bought my Batman bedset (had two pillowcases + a little batman decorative pillow)

they're building a walmart in my neighborhood. I don't really intend to go there much but I know I will once in a while to get my fill of watching people walk around in bib overalls.

"look ma, there's bib overalls over by there for only 13.99!"

"okay rufus, we'll grab some as soon as I finish stocking up on these here $1.99 negro repellant sticks!"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHA
WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS COUNTRY COMING TO?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAA

Metalhead87, you care enough to buy at the Farmer's market, so why feed your cat food that you can find at K-mart :(
That's all my cat will eat. Cats are very picky. I used to feed her real food that I made for myself, and I'm a very good cook, but she just prefers Fancy Feast. I think they put catnip in it or something.

My fat persian cat Vasko eats only Hill's light indoor cat's food and my other small and tiny kitty Maca eats whatever she gets, she's not picky at all

I always see stray cats eating whatever some people put out for them. My kitty wants a treat to eat. I'm serious. I actually have to put those Whisker Lickins things on her food.

My cats have very healthy appetite it's just that Vasko eats only one type of food and Maca ... I'm affraid she's going to eat Vasko some day...

A pair of shoes, that costed less than a dollar to make and would sell for about 10 bucks in the country it was made in, goes through this whole process. By the time it reaches the retailer, it costs about 100 bucks for us to buy it.

so would you rather go to the mall and actually pay the $100?... or would you rather go to some place where you can actually afford shoes at a reasonable price. i used to buy expensive shoes... and even clothes. but its like fuck it. all my pants and jeans and shorts come from either Kohl's... Walmart... or Kmart. it makes no sense to me to waste my money on expensive stores in the fucking malls or in designer stores. and if i DO buy something from those stores, its from the clearance rack.

believe me. i support the local small shop owners. in Philly there are so many Mom and Pop places its crazy. i'm dedicated to this shop "Royals" because the people are fucking awesome. same people working everyday. i know their names, they know mine. in major cities, places like this can thrive and survive. in towns like my home town, a Walmart gives about everything all in one shot. yeah, i can get it at other places. but what makes those places so much better than Walmart. i can go to the mall(a ripoff already)... or Kmart(almost as bad as Walmart is, so you say.). There's no place else to go to get all of these things. THAT... is the intention. they help out with everything.

So judging this because of your beliefs on Walmart... do you despise IKEA as much? BIGGER than Walmart, and has pretty much everything you could imagine.

At least Starbucks does treat their employees well (decept pay, good benefits and health care, room for advancement). I dont really like their coffee, it has a nasty aftertaste, and I'm not one for fru-fru ladeeda, as I like to call their sugar drinks.

Support your local businesses! Spend the extra two bucks! Dont eat shitty food, and dont buy shit you dont need!

I would rather spend a little more, get good service and support a local business. The only bigger chains that I shop at is H&M, maybe Banana Republic if they have something I like. But I prefer shopping at the smaller stores that I know will have what I am looking for.
Also, the smaller men's clothing stores usually have girls working there that are almost always really cute.

It's not like Walmart has everything you need though. If you like the clothes they sell, fine. But for someone who isn't into what they sell, it's not really that convenient. As I've said before, you have to go to a few stores anyways. It's not like those huge stores carry fresh produce other than milk or something like that. For clothing, shopping at different stores gives you a much larger selection.
Some people will disagree with me, but I don't think Walmart is as convenient as the Walmart execs would want you to believe.

I don't really know much about IKEA or furniture for that matter. I honestly could not care less about furniture. From what I have seen, their stuff looks pretty interesting, but I cannot really say anything about the chain itself. I didn't even know it was that big. But isn't IKEA only furniture though?

Anyone who thinks Starbucks is good... I'll make a deal with you...
I'll roast you a fresh batch of my own coffee beans, and send it to you...
THEN tell me what you think.
You haven't tasted good coffee until you had mine, I swear :p
